It was as early as the 3rd century BC that the Greek astronomer Aristarchus of Samos proposed an alternate arrangement of the universe: a heliocentric model of the solar system, placing the Sun, not the Earth, at the center of the known universe. Our most intricate end, the Aster 08 has eight sides with a multitude of stars embedded in the design.
